Abu Dhabi University Scheme
Abu Dhabi University Scheme

Tabreed is developing a scheme to provide district cooling services to the university’s new campus in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi.The modern infrastructure is being erected over a 4 million square feet area at a cost of ‎approximately AED 200 million. The new campus will accommodate around 5,000 students for the 2006-2007 academic year, and a total capacity of 10,000 students in the final phase. In addition to the university’s three existing colleges, this campus will host two additional ones: the College of Engineering and the College of Media and Mass Communications. ‎This campus will represent a milestone in the world of higher education through its ‎exquisite design and modern educational facilities which include auditoriums and laboratories. Additionally, ‎housing complexes, recreational and sports facilities (such as playgrounds and swimming pools), and ‎service outlets (including restaurants and shops), as well as a multi-purpose hall with a capacity of 1000 will ‎satisfy all student needs and provide an ideal educational atmosphere that incorporates the highest levels of ‎academic services.‎

 

Al Jaber Tower
Al Jaber Tower

Tabreed has signed an agreement with Al Jaber Group to supply cooling to Fujairah's Tallest Tower, which is being developed by Al Jaber Group.Al Jaber Tower is a state-of-the-art development that is being built in Fujairah's downtown, on Sh. Hamad Street. The 43-storey tower will reach a height of 170 meters and is comprised of 270 apartments, commercial shops and showrooms.Furthermore, the Government of Fujairah has recently granted Tabreed a strategic land in a prime location on Sh. Hamad Street to develop a district cooling scheme that will serve the Al Jaber Tower as well as any new developments on that street. This can be considered a proof of acknowledgment of Tabreed's important role in protecting the environment and reducing power consumption.

 

Al Jimi Scheme
Al Jimi Scheme

This scheme was commissioned in 2001 and covered a 1,125 square meter area. Over the years, the scheme’s coverage increased and it now supplies cooling to Al Jimi Mall, Al Ain Vegetable and Fish Market, the Celebration Hall, the Municipality and Al Jimi Mall expansions, Ruler’s Office, Police Administration and Al Ain New TPD Project.

 

Al Manar Scheme
Al Manar Scheme

Ras Al Khaimah scheme supplies cooling to Al Manar Mall which houses over 110 retail outlets, and Al Gorm Plaza 1, a state-of-the-art four floor residential property, the Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone and Al Gorm Plaza 2. The Ras Al Khaimah scheme leads the way as the UAE's first commercial district cooling project.

 

Al Muroor Scheme
Al Muroor Scheme

Located in Al Muroor District, Abu Dhabi, the scheme currently provides cooling to the following developments:Al Maamoura Tower (ALDAR’s Headquarters) and 2 residential towers, .The facility's total cooling capacity exceeds 22,000 refrigerating tons.

 

Baynouna
Baynouna

Tabreed is developing a 19,000 TR scheme at West 35 Area in Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi to serve a number of commercial and residential developments. The first phase of the scheme is designed to provide cooling to the Six Towers Development which is comprised of 2 towers owned by the Private Building Est. and another 4 towers that are owned by International Capital Trading.

 

Dubai Metro Scheme
Dubai Metro Scheme

Dubai Municipality and Tabreed have signed a 3 billion Dirhams agreement to provide the entire Dubai Metro Project with district cooling services. This massive project will comprise 47 metro stations that will initially require a cooling load of 36,000 TR (tons of refrigeration) and upon completion, the cooling load will peak to 350,000 TR.The 30-year contract was awarded to Tabreed, after an in-depth technical and financial analysis of the offers submitted by several companies. Tabreed’s offer was the best among them in terms of financial and technical factors. The contract was drawn up in line with the BOOT (build, own, operate and transfer) system under which the company would offer centralized cooling to all Metro stations as per international standards so as to ensure a care-free environment for metro passengers. The company will also offer centralized cooling to all development projects undertaken along with the metro stations.

 

Khalidiyah Scheme
Khalidiyah Scheme

Tabreed will provide cooling to Khalidiyah Mall, in Abu Dhabi, which is comprised of three floors and has a semi-basement parking that can fit up to 600 cars and will host a wide list of international and renowned brands and will have a hypermarket, multiple cinemas, a food court with 2500 seating, world class amusement arcade, bowling etc. Khalidiyah Mall has a total parking facility of approx 2500 cars and is located in an easily commutable site in the densely populated Khalidiyah neighborhood.

 

Marina Mall Scheme
Marina Mall Scheme

Marina Mall is a prestigious commercial center located in Abu Dhabi. After the success of the first phase of the project, the mall launched an expansion project and signed with Tabreed to provide the new expansion with district cooling services.

 

Police Compound Scheme
Police Compound Scheme

The Abu Dhabi Police Directorate signed a contract with Tabreed to supply cooling to their newly developed guards’ compound in Abu Dhabi, which hosts a number of buildings and facilities.

 

Sh. Zayed Rd. Scheme
Sh. Zayed Rd. Scheme

The scheme commenced operations in summer 2002. Designed to provide cooling to a range of residential and commercial buildings, the scheme serves its customers with hassle-free, economic and environmentally friendly reliability. Tabreed already has an impressive clientele base on one side of Sh. Zayed Road, including the Shangri-La Hotel, Towers Rotana, Tower Number One Suites, Noor Al Maarif School, Kharbash Tower and Park Place, Capital Towers and Liberty Tower.In addition to that, Tabreed has expanded its network by opening a new micro tunnel that connects the two side of Sh. Zayed Road. The tunnel will enable Tabreed to augment its service capacity, and provide cooling services to buildings on the other side of the road. The tunnel is one of the longest in the region and is the second to be built by Tabreed, the first being in Abu Dhabi. The tunnel was constructed without disrupting the road or surrounding areas. It consists of two tunnels, one supplying the chilled water and the other returning it to the district cooling station. The tunnel has been placed at a depth of six meters underground, with concrete sleeves of 1200mm inner and 1490mm outer diameter.

 

UAE University Scheme
UAE University Scheme

Tabreed will provide cooling services to the UAE University’s new campus.The new campus will consist of a 290,000 sqm state of the art educational buildings, recreational facilities and student residential accommodation, to be built over a period of 4 years on an 80 hectare site at Al Maqam in Al Ain.

 

Um Al Nar Scheme
Um Al Nar Scheme

Tabreed has signed a contract with Al Kheeli Commercial and Residential Complex located in Sas Al Nakhl in Abu Dhabi. The scheme is expected to be ready by March 2007 and the complex is comprised of four residential towers, 12 floors each and a 2-storey shopping center that will host a parking area, two underground floors, cinema theatres and an Ice Skating rink.

 

Zayed Military City
Zayed Military City

Zayed Military City is the largest district cooling development ever undertaken. It comprises 7 schemes in total to provide the contracted 90,000 tons of cooling across the military complex. Each scheme, not only increases the efficiency of cooling for the complex, but also elicits a reduction of 60% of power generated in the grid. This equals around 100MW less power generation required, which is more than what a small Power Station produces. The use of natural gas in powering the plants also means that potential carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by 74% from air-conditioning Zayed Military City.

 

Zayed Sports City Scheme
Zayed Sports City Scheme

Located near Zayed Sports City, the scheme offers cooling services to the following clients:Zayed Military Hospital, Al Bateen Air Base, Diabetic Center, ID Building, Al Noor Hospital and the General Pension & Social Security Authority Building.Further customers across the Zayed Sports City area can be supplied to ultimately increase the facility's contracted capacity to over 22,000 refrigerating tons.
