CHAIRMAN

Khadem Abdulla Al Qubaisi is the Managing Director of International Petroleum Investment Co. (IPIC). IPIC is Abu Dhabi’s flagship government company for foreign hydrocarbon sector investment, with a portfolio valued in excess of $14 billion. Since assuming this role, Khadem has dramatically expanded IPIC’s investment footprint, both in sectoral and geographical terms. Khadem has been the driving force behind IPIC’s adoption of a convertible bond investment strategy, and IPIC’s acquisition of a majority stake in AABAR Investments PJSC, which recently acquired a near 10% stake in Daimler, the maker of Mercedes-Benz cars.

Prior to this current position at IPIC, Khadem worked as Investment Management Division Manager since he joined the company in the year 2000 and till 2007.
1994 – 1999: Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) – Abu Dhabi in the capacity of Senior Financial Analyst in the North America Equities Dept.

Khadem serves as Chairman of Aabar Investments, Tabreed, UAE Chairman of Hyundai Oilbank Co. Ltd. – S. Korea. He is also Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Polymers Co. Ltd. (Borouge) – UAE and serves on the board of Hyundai Oilbank Co. Ltd. – S. Korea, Borealis AG – Austria, First Gulf Bank – UAE, Emirates Investment Authority – UAE, and ALDAR Properties PJSC – UAE. He is also member of the Standing Committee – Hyundai Oilbank Co. Ltd. – S. Korea

Khadem holds a Bachelor degree in Economics.




VICE CHAIRMAN

Waleed Ahmed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi is the Chief Operating Officer of Mubadala. His primary responsibilities are to oversee Mubadala’s operational and business development activities. These include Mubadala’s international acquisitions and business development activities across a broad range of industries such as healthcare, education, energy, infrastructure, aerospace, real estate and technology.

Prior to joining Mubadala, Waleed worked with the UAE Offsets Group as a Senior Projects Manager. He brought with him a wealth of experience from McKinsey & Company where he worked as a Consultant, advising on a range of industrial and governmental projects.

Waleed serves as Chairman of Yahsat, Chairman of Mubadala Infrastructure Partners, Chairman of ATIC, Chairman of Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), Vice Chairman of LeasePlan Corporation, Vice Chairman of Tabreed and Board Member of AMD, du, Piaggio Aero, Zonescorp, Injazat Data Systems and the Khalifa Fund to Support and Develop Small & Medium Enterprises. He is also Director General of the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development

Waleed holds a Masters from Harvard University, USA, and a Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, USA.




BOARD MEMBER – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi is Senior Advisor, Acquisitions at Mubadala. He is also currently Managing Director of Tabreed and sits on the Tabreed Board of Directors. As Managing Director, he is responsible for strengthening and supporting the executive management team of Tabreed, in particular focusing on areas of finance and management.

Khaled joined Mubadala from International Capital where he was the Chief Investment Officer. Prior to Mubadala he was Head Corporate Finance & Business Development at National Bank of Abu Dhabi where he was responsible for advising companies on funding requirements, placing debt and equity, and structuring investment products for the Bank’s retail and private banking division.

Khaled currently sits as a board member of Dunia Finance Company, International Fish Farming Company ‘ASMAK’ and National Health Insurance Company ‘DAMAN’, and has been a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute since 2003. He holds a BA in Finance and Operation Management from Boston University and an MSc from George Washington University in Washington, DC.



BOARD MEMBER

Khalifa Mohamed Al Mazrouei is the General Manager of Abu Dhabi Municipality. In his role, he plays an integral part in Abu Dhabi's growth and development by handling the expansion of Abu Dhabi city and modernizing its facilities, streamlining its processes and investing in human capital to improve overall service delivery.

Khalifa is a an expert in his field and widely recognized for his strengths in financial management and international markets, including managing major projects at Mubadala Development Company.

Khalifa is also Chairman and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), which is responsible for the operation and management of services at Abu Dhabi and Al Ain airports. At ADAC, he spearheads the massive expansion in infrastructure and facilities taking place in the emirate's aviation sector. He is also chairman of the World Trade Centre, Abu Dhabi, and Vice Chairman of Al Taif Technical Services.

Closely involved with marketing, due diligence and strategic assessments, operational audits and restructuring plans, Al Mazrouei serves on the board of Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), Tabreed, Amiri Flight and Al Jazeera Club.




BOARD MEMBER

Abdul Raouf Al Bitar is the CEO of Al Manhal and Nestlé Waters Group of Companies in Saudi Arabia, He is also Chairman of Jordan New Cable Co. (JNCC) and Board Member of Middle East Specialized Cables (MESC) – Saudi Arabia, Tabreed - UAE, ACWA Power - Saudi Arabia, LG-Shaker Factory – Saudi Arabia, and MESC-Fujikura Cable Co. – Jordan.
Abdul Raouf holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University, New York.




BOARD MEMBER

Abdulla Khouri is the Director of Government Affairs for the Executive Affairs Authority (EAA) of Abu Dhabi. In this role, Abdulla oversees and facilitates interactions between the EAA and all relevant domestic and international government agencies. His responsibilities also encompass overseeing the operations of the Office of the Chairman of the EAA.

Earlier, Abdulla headed the Communications and Administration Unit of Mubadala Development Company, a position he held from 2004 till March 2008. During that time, he was responsible for all matters relating to the reputation of Mubadala and its family of companies.
Abdulla began his career by joining the Offset Program Bureau in 1996 where he was also responsible for corporate and organizational communications.

Abdulla is board member of Tabreed and Abu Dhabi’s Media Zone Authority.

Abdulla graduated from the European University in Geneva, where he majored in both Business Administration and Public & Business Communications.




BOARD MEMBER

Ibrahim AL Ansari was appointed General Manager – UAE for Dolphin Energy Limited in October 2007. He had previously served as Executive Vice President – Operations since March 2004.

He is responsible for all Dolphin activities within the UAE. Prior to joining Dolphin Energy in October 2003 as Vice President – Projects, Ms. Al Ansari was General Manager of Union Water & Electricity Company (UWEC), now incorporated within ADWEA.

Ibrahim Al Ansari worked for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) FOR SOME 18 years following graduation. His first senior appointment was as Manager, Engineering Development Department; subsequently he was Manager Gas Processing & Piplines Division at ADNOC’S Atheer.

He joined UAE Offsets Group (UOG) in September 2000 as Technical Specialist Advisor, before taking up this UWEC appointment in September 2001. He joined Mubadala Development Company in April 2004 AS Executive Advisor. Mr. Al Ansari graduated from the Louisiana Technical University, USA in 1982 with a BSc. Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Ibrahim Al Ansari is Board member in Emirates Aluminum (EMAL), Chairman in Mubadala Petroleum Service Company (MPSC), in addition to being Board member in TABREED.




BOARD MEMBER

Ali Saeed Al Badi is the Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Ports Company, the master developer and regulator of Ports and Industrial Zones in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. In his current role, Ali is responsible for implementing the strategic goals and objectives of the organization, as well as providing direction and leadership towards the achievement of the corporate philosophy, values, mission, vision and annual goals

Prior to that, and since he Joined ADNOC in 1986, Ali held various senior positions such as Director of Management Support, General Manager of TAKREER and Petrochemicals Director.

Ali held Chairmanship of Borouge Pte and FERTIL and is currently Board Member of Tabreed.

Ali holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Indiana University, USA.
